Qualifications

I completed a one year Introduction to Counselling and Psychotherapy Foundation course at the WPF, The Westminster Pastoral Foundation in (2007).

Following this, I completed a four year diploma in Transpersonal Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education in London (2009-2012). The training is accredited by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

My initial work was with clients through the Kensington and Chelsea Mental Health Befriending Scheme. At the end of this time, I was awarded for my work and ‘Reflective practice and drive to make a difference’.

Prior to beginning my private practice, I worked as a trainee counsellor/psychotherapist for three years with both short term and long term clients at FreshStart Psychotherapy. This service is based in Maida Vale and offers low cost counselling to anyone living in Greater London.

I have been on clinical placement at the Cassel Hospital in Richmond, Surrey. The Cassel provides specialist assessment and treatment services for those with severe and complex personality disorders. I have a particular interest in clients with Eating Disorders including Anorexia, Bulimia and Binge Eating Disorder.

In terms of my career prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I have worked in the media industry for over twenty years.  This experience has meant I have an understanding of the pressures of working in a fast paced and stressful environment.

I receive regular supervision for my continued professional development.
